Copper, ginger, scarlet, strawberry, crimson, auburn, gold, mahogany, cherry, burgundy, aubergine, ruby...there are more ways to describe red hair than any other color (and we haven’t even gotten into adjectives, such as stunning, striking, and holy smokes). Red hair. Did you know that less than 2% of the population can claim it as their own naturally? Red hair is not just a hair color, it’s a lifestyle—a lifestyle so look-at-me gorgeous, you’re going to want to follow it on Instagram (if you don’t already). So whether you’re a natural redhead searching for product recs, or you color your hair a rich, red hue, or you’re just a fan of the fiery color, you’re going to want to scroll through our top 8 Instagram feeds for red-hot inspiration...
Ah, the be-all, end-all of Instagram accounts to follow for red hair—this one’s been celebrating the shade for over 7 years and has over 49.3k followers. Pics range from short to long hair, straight to curly, but all of them a stunning array of the ways of the red. Those with red hair can be featured by tagging their own photos with #weloveredhair. This feed is a must for all the redheadophiles out there, and yes—that’s a real word.
Founded by self-proclaimed redhead experts, sisters Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti literally wrote the book on red hair. Not only an actual book, but they also run a site dedicated to red hair with beauty boxes specifically for redheads, apparel, newsletters, and more, all with the express aim to empower those with red hair to feel confident rocking their red. With over 78k followers, this is one feed full of beauty, smarts, humor, and very big hearts.
Her account states, “Welcome to Daisyland,” and we never want to leave. Seriously. Daisy Clementine Smith is equal parts I-want-be-her cool and I-want-to-look-like-her beautiful, a musician in pop-rock-surf band The Atomics, and sought-after model from too many campaigns to list. But it’s her Instagram feed on which we can’t stop hitting refresh. Ginger crush-worthy, for sure.
Speaking of crush...entrepreneur and choreographer, Ms. Jade, is crushing it! Her feed is full of double tap-worthy dance routines, but it’s her strawberry curls that keep us coming back. In some pics, she has braided her hair into ornate updos, in others it’s worn down au naturel. Either way, her color is can’t-look-away stunning.
Red hair and freckles go together as deliciously as peanut butter and jelly, and this Instagram account proves it. We can’t get enough of Clio’s pics, all vibrant blue eyes, smattering of freckles and bright ginger locks. While we can’t really understand much of what she writes (it’s in Italian), we think her hair speaks for itself. Bellisima!
Know what else goes well with red hair? Curls. Honestly, we don’t know if we keep coming back to Annette’s feed for photo after photo of her gorgeous curls, or if it’s her perfect shade of sumptuous crimson. Either way, this feed is chock full of #redhairgoals.
New York Times best-selling author, podcast host, Global Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of Refinery29...there are many reasons to follow Christene Barberich on Instagram, and one of them is her striking copper colored hair. Check her out for career inspiration, as a style guru, or just to gawk at her stand-out red locks. This is one feed you need to follow.
Yet another media maven on our list (is it just us, or are redheads pretty much strong, badass women?)—Amber Venz Box changed the world of influencer marketing by co-founding RewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it, and her Instagram feed is full of drool-worthy fashion, style tips, and honestly some of the most enviable red hair we’ve ever seen.
We’ve saved the longest for last. Literally. Anastasiya Sidorova is a real-life Rapunzel with 42 inch long locks. You read that right, or should we say red that right? Her gold-mahogany mane is serious hair inspiration not only for its stunning color and luscious length, but because, believe it or not, Anastasiya was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia, a condition that can cause hair loss and balding. After her diagnosis, Anastasiya researched the disease and worked with her doctors to combat the effects. Her Instagram is filled with hair growth tips and tricks. Of course, you’ll have to translate them from Russian, or you can just stare at her feed full of the longest, most wow-worthy red hair we’ve ever seen.
