It may be the height of summer, but we’re already looking ahead at fall hair color trends. What can we say? Here at Madison Reed, we love any opportunity to switch up our color, and there’s no better excuse than a change in season. So we asked David Stanko, our VP of Technical Design and Education, what he predicts will be fall’s biggest hair color trends, and let’s just say, watching him talk about soft hues of chocolate and ginger, we can’t wait for the start of sweater weather…
This fall, we’re seeing earthy versions of auburn that are so hot they are cool. These reds are less bright-ginger, and instead are a bit deeper, browner. If you want to try on this tone at home, use Color Reviving Gloss in Amaretto. This is a semi-permanent color that will add a hint of brown to your ginger, or ginger to your brown. Either way, it’s stunning and lasts about 8 shampoos.
TREND: BLONDES GO BOTH WAYS
Just because summer will be over doesn’t mean blondes won’t be on trend. On the contrary, blondes will be trending in two ways, both warm blondes and cool blondes. Both shades are versatile and flattering for a variety of skin tones. You just want to make sure you have a purple gloss such as Color Reviving Gloss in Crema to keep your blonde looking beyond beautiful.
