Imagine our surprise and absolute delight when we learned that critically-acclaimed actress, New York Times best-selling author, avid cook and health advocate Teri Hatcher is an at-home hair color pro—and a big Madison Reed fan. I mean, how gorgeous are her Before and After photos?? Teri uses the Perfect Pair to get these shiny, luscious results: Radiant Hair Color in Sondrio Brown 6.5NNA, and our 2020 Allure Best of Beauty Award Winning Color Reviving Gloss in Espresso. She even made a video to show how she applies the hair color and gloss, plus how she colors the back of her head herself. Spoiler alert: you’re going to want to be friends with Teri Hatcher after watching this video—she is as smart and funny as she is beautiful and talented.

Allure also featured Teri in an interview about how she is practicing self-care at home during the pandemic. She talks at-home skincare and makeup routines, plus, yep—you guessed it—at-home hair color. As she says in the interview, “I had been hearing about Madison Reed for a long time and was always curious about it, but it took quarantine to make me actually go online and order a box so I’d say March was my first time. I had been curious to see if Madison Reed offered a better experience, and luckily for me, it did. It’s just an effortless experience because everything you need comes neatly in one tiny box.”

As she says herself, “Let’s be honest—this has been a tough time for all of us in many different ways.”...But sometimes a little at-home beauty treatment is all she needs to feel good again, “No joke, I really did get a fresh pop of positive energy when all of my gray disappeared into a lovely swoop of shiny Sondrio Brown, courtesy of Madison Reed. Grateful for the little things!”

Relatable, right? Glamour also interviewed Teri about what's getting her through the pandemic. "When you do little things to take care of yourself, whether it's eating right, taking a walk, drawing a bath, or even getting the gray out of your hair, it's just a great boost of confidence," she says. "Then you feel like you do everything else better. I get reminded of that every time." In the article, Teri also answers Glamour's Big Beauty Questions, and trust us when we say, this is one questionnaire you don't want to miss. Check out what beauty advice she has for her daughter, and what beauty rule she thinks is B.S. (we couldn't agree more, BTW).

Thank you, Teri, for the love! Here's to gorgeous, shiny, healthy-looking hair, and to confidence. Happy coloring!
