Looks like we were all on Santa’s Nice List this year because we got the gift of merry memories to share! Join us for a trip down memory lane on this Christmas morning.
My fondest memory: The walkway leading to the front door of my parents house was lined with bushes, and during the holidays, it was bedazzled with lights. I would pretend to be a movie star walking down the red carpet… in my ugly Christmas sweater and neon leggings.
When I was a kid, I thought Santa Clause rang your doorbell in the middle of the night and handed your presents to your parents. No way he could fit through a chimney!
My twin and I would dress alike!
My mom’s wearing one of the bridesmaid dresses from her wedding. The Christmas when I was 5 or 6, she made me a miniature version so we could match. And, yes, those are totally velvet.
This is Christmas morning when I was 12, and I got my first dog as a present… The puppy’s name was Trixy and stayed with me for 10 long years. I will never forget that moment when I opened the present box and found Trixy jumping around waiting to lick my face.
Fond holiday memory: being wrapped in a blanket and pushed around in the snow!
My parent’s Winter Formal in December 1970 (the awesome family photo at top is from Nancy too!).
Spending all day with my mom and sister making macaroon cookies to give out to our friends and family while we drank eggnog, had a fire, and Christmas music going.
Lil Samantha with my grandpa as Santa!
I don’t remember when this was taken, but wow! Santa had a strong grip!
Ho ho ho, Merrrry Christmas!!
