New locations are the latest in the company’s nationwide roll-out; debut with unique membership plan

SAN FRANCISCO (July 11, 2020) –Today is opening day for three all-new Madison Reed Color Bars in the Washington, D.C. area, bringing to four the number of locations operated by the prestige hair color brand Madison Reed after its successful inside the beltway debut at Bethesda Row in December.
The three new Colors Bars are at Reston Town Center in Reston, Mosaic District in Fairfax, and Congressional Plaza in Rockville. All three will open for roots and gloss services with Covid-19 safety precautions in place. The Bethesda location was the first East Coast location outside of Manhattan for Madison Reed’s unique Color Bar concept. Bethesda reopened on June 23 for services.

The openings come amidst a period of high growth for the brand. During the peak of the pandemic, Madison Reed saw its new customers increase dramatically to 12X pre-COVID-19 levels, even as its Color Bars closed.

Madison Reed’s hair color is formulated in Italy to meet strict EU safety standards and the company’s own “8 free” standard.
