Madison Mondays: Your Week Ahead | May 18, 2015
Happy Monday! We’re halfway through May, and summer is coming up quickly. Madison Reed has tips to get you healthy from head to toe.
DIY Scalp Massage
Increase the natural supply of nutrients and oxygen needed for healthy hair growth by stimulating blood flow with a scalp massage. Use the soft pads of your fingers (not the nails) to work in small circular movements all over your scalp.
You can also use this technique to help your kids go to sleep. Just tuck them in and gently massage their heads until they doze off. It’ll set them up for sweet dreams.
Video Game Moderation
Speaking of helping the family sleep better, practicing moderation with video games will help set healthier habits for life. Start by turning off devices an hour before bedtime. The blue light of the screens inhibits your body’s production of melatonin, which helps you sleep. Read more about striking a better balance with technology for more tips.
Snack to Slim Down
Summer also means swimsuit season. We don’t believe in giving up the things that you enjoy. Instead, find the better-for-you alternatives that make you happy and get you to your goals. Check out this list of ten snacks that help you lose weight.
All-Natural DIY Pedicure
Pamper yourself without leaving home. We found a great guide to improve circulation, reduce anxiety, relieve pain, and of course, get sandal-ready with an all-natural pedicure routine.
