Happy Monday! Get ready for your week with water cooler chatter, helpful hair tips, and wonderful ways to get more out of life with Madison Reed.

Water coolers will be abuzz about last night’s 2015 Oscars ceremony. Host Neil Patrick Harris entertained with musical numbers and a surprise film spoof wearing nothing but his tighty whities, and Lady Gaga really wowed the A-list audience with her Sound of Music medley (video above).

Other highlights included a live performance of Everything is Awesome (we’re so sorry for getting that song stuck in your head… watch Lady Gaga again to get it out!) by Tegan and Sara, which involved Lego Oscars being handed out to lucky celebs. It’s about time somebody surprised Oprah with a gift!

And last but certainly not least, here’s a complete list of winners from Vulture. One major trend that had nothing to do with fashion was the use of acceptance speeches to raise awareness for a number of timely causes. From Patricia Arquette’s dedication to women’s equality, to a stirring speech about voting rights and justice by John Legend and Common, viewers witnessed an inspiring commitment by celebrities to move the world in a positive direction.

Of course, it always feels good to look good! Our color experts identified the permanent colors and hair glosses needed to create the red carpet looks of Julianne Moore, Anna Kendrick, and Lupita Nyong’o.

Browsing Vulture’s collection of red carpet looks, we noticed three major hairstyle trends, all beautifully easy to recreate at home. Follow our easy tutorials to get these 2015 Oscars looks: loose waves, glamorous blowouts, and low sleek updos.

Even celebrities have simple skincare secrets to maintain their superstar glow. From Christy Turlington to Ann Curry, this Stylelist slideshow shares eleven easy-to-follow tips. Our favorite? Distract from late night undereye dark circles with bright lipstick.

Since we’re taking a cue from Hollywood, enjoy this thoughtful piece by Holstee about Groundhog Day, that classic ’90s film starring Bill Murray. It reminds us to make the most of every single day… whether or not it’s endlessly repeating!
