We're empowering people everywhere to create their own acts of love and share what they discover in the process. This is Beth’s story.
Every morning, Beth takes Chariot (a commuter service) to work and is always inspired by the kindness and friendliness of her driver, Shonnece. To honor the positive impact of this, Beth gave Shonnece a gift card to thank her. Then she went one step further by writing to the CEO of Chariot.
I wanted to let you know how great one of your drivers is, Shonnece.
I am a long time start-up person, and I understand what a difference great people can make. They are your greatest asset. Shonnece is always so kind and friendly. She asks everyone how they are and tells them to have a good day. This may seem minor, but it's not. Everyone is in a hurry, and she is driving around a car load of strangers. It inspires people to be a little kinder, a little more polite. I can see it in action as people also ask her how she is, as they say "yes please" when she asks if she should make the stop, and as they thank her as they depart.
It's just a 15 to 20 minute ride for me, but I'm always little bummed out when I don't get Shonnece.
I hope that Shonnece is recognized for the great work she does. I've learned over the years that in the end, if you don't have the right people, almost nothing else matters for a company. You may think it's only about the money and the product, but it's not. For truly great companies, it's about the people.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Thank you for the kind words about Shonnece and our service! As a first-time start-up founder, I agree with you 100%: people are the difference between success and failure.
We add all compliments and complaints to a driver's employee file and inform them, their route captain and all the members of their route team whenever they get a compliment. She was thrilled! In the very near future, we'll be adding driver and ride ratings to the app so you can provide even more feedback.
